How I came into relationship with Jesus Christ When I was 8 years old, I witnessed communion but did not understand it. My mother began to explain to me about the body that was broken and blood that was spilled for me. A few weeks later, I participated in VBS where I had more questions answered. It was during this week that a lady named Celeste led me to confess and repent of my sin, and to submit my life to God. Since that day, the Lord has continued to refine and sanctify me and he is always teaching me the depths of His grace and love in my failure.
How I came to Harvest I have a friend who leads worship for Harvest Davenport and we’ve talked extensively about the culture of Harvest Bible Chapel. He contacted me and asked me to pray about the possibility of serving here in Granger. My wife and I flew up during polar vortex 1.0 and got a taste of the God’s work here through meetings with pastors, leaders and youth. A week after we returned God confirmed to us both that we were to leave our home state of Texas and our family and come get on board with what God is doing here!
What I do at Harvest I get to teach the Bible to teenagers! I engage the parents of teens and I lead a great group of volunteers who minister to teens in small groups.
Why I do what I do The Lord has called me. He has defined my purpose. He has equipped me and He has given me a desire for his Word and for teens. So much change takes place in the teenage years and I feel honored and humbled to have the chance to make an impact at such a pivotal time.
