Higher Ground

Higher Ground is a dynamic program for children from Kindergarten - 5th grade and runs concurrently with our worship services. Our Higher Ground children's ministry calls children to a life of knowing Christ, growing in Christ, and showing Christ from their earliest days.

"... He commanded our fathers to teach their children, that the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they should set their hope in God ..." Psalm 78:5-7

What will they learn?
During each weekend service, we offer your child the opportunity to learn the truth of Scripture and how to apply it to their lives. Class time includes a time of Christ-centered worship, a large group teaching time, fun games and a time in small groups. These small group focus on life application of the lesson, prayer, and Scripture memory.
 
We use a 3-year long curriculum called Generations of Grace. Year one covers Genesis through Numbers; year two covers Deuteronomy through Daniel; year three covers the life of Jesus Christ from the book of Matthew as well as portions from Acts and Revelation.

Family Devotions
We also offer a free Weekly Family Devotional that complements what the children are learning each week. This is so that you can build upon the lessons they are learning at church in your own home throughout the week. 

*We use a parent pager system. Please check your child in at the Children's Check-In Table and take part in the adult worship service knowing that your child is in loving and trustworthy hands.
