Finding Hope & Healing in Granger

A testimony of God's sustaining grace:
An athletic, successful businessman, Ron Brown was thriving personally as well as financially. With a solid marriage and successful kids, Ron and his wife Lynn were integral part of the core group at
Harvest Granger, led by
Pastor Trent Griffith. Yet his commitment to launching a new church was, at times, rivaled by his commitment to his beloved Chicago Bears and Cubs...even skipping church or a core group meeting in order to catch a game.
But in February of 2008, the Lord got his attention. A sudden stroke left him lifeless before doctors revived him in the hospital. In a coma for days, the doctors proclaimed he had no hope for recovery, but the prayers of Lynn and Granger’s core group were steadfast and continual. Amazingly, he started to respond and began the slow process of physical therapy.
The core group rallied to the aid of the Browns throughout their ordeal with help and encouragement. In fact, Ron would tell you his stroke was part of God’s plan to knit the group together in love and service.
Today, Ron has little feeling in the right side of his body, slurred speech, impaired vision, and struggles to walk with a walker. But spiritually, Ron is stronger than he has ever been.
Ron’s love for the Bears and Cubs now pales in comparison to his love for Jesus! As well as leading the Prayer Ministry, Ron’s influence has brought more guests to Harvest Granger than anyone else, leaving no doubt of God’s goodness even in extreme difficulty, and the supremacy of a life lived in and for Jesus Christ.
